    Mike started racing in 2006 in the NASA Mid-Atlantic Spec E30 racing series.  Early on Mike showed impressive speed and car control finishing on the podium 3 times in his first 5 races.  Since then Mike has managed to obtain 4 wins and finish 4th, 5th, and 5th at the NASA National Championships in 2006, 2007, and 2008 respectively.  During the 2009 season Mike managed to start the season off with a win at VIR and continued to be fast and consistent throughout the season.  After chasing a troubled engine for the majority of the season he managed to finish out the season with a 5th place finish in the points, 4 podiums, and a 100% top 10 ratio.  During the 2009 season Mike also spent time as a competition school instructor for NASA Mid Atlantic.  In July of 2009 Mike was asked to be one of the professional drivers in VW's new "Sim Race" which took place during the Grand Am Koni Challenge weekend at VIR.
